What is Nuisance Wildlife?

Nuisance wildlife is a term given to individual animals that may be causing property damage. Damage is defined as causing monetary or structural damage to your home, business, or property. Animals feeding (such as squirrels at a bird feeder) is not damage. Wildlife behaving normally (such as squirrels in a yard) is not damage.

What is Wildlife Damage Management?

Wildlife Damage Management is the process of solving conflicts between humans and wildlife so that we can coexist peacefully. Not all conflicts are caused by wildlife and sometimes humans must adjust their behavior to find a solution. Wildlife damage management takes many forms, behavioral, structural, or environmental modifications may be necessary. Repellents, exclusion, trapping, and relocation are other tools we have at our disposal.

How does Wildman's service work?

We have a very simple 4 step process. Step 1 is a comprehensive inspection that allows us to assess the situation and the damage in order to make recommendations to you. Step 2 is the trapping and removal of damage causing wildlife. Step 3 is to repair damage  and prevent re-entry into the structure. Step 4 is to clean up any mess left behind such as urine and feces or contaminated insulation.

Can I do it myself?

We recommend hiring a professional if you are having a wildlife problem. There are many obstacles facing DIY wildlife control, including obtaining a Depredation Permit, safely extracting wildlife, effectively excluding the wildlife, exposure to zoonotic diseases, and more. Let the professionals at Wildman Wildlife Removal and Exclusion handle this daunting task for you.

How long will it take?

Once again every situation is different and we really can't know until a thorough inspection and assessment is complete. The quickest of jobs can be completed in a few hours with the longest ones taking up to two weeks or more.

What do you do with the animals?

It depend on the species. Bats are not trapped but rather excluded so they are able to freely leave your home or business without any harm to the animal. Wildlife such are squirrels and opossum are safely relocated. State Law requires that animals in the Order Carnivora, which includes raccoons, be euthanized. This law is designed to prevent the spread of rabies and other diseases that may harm large populations of raccoons. When possible Wildman offers other solutions.
